Located in the heart of the Josephine County Fairgrounds is a granite boulder which contains a plaque that reads:
THIS PARK IS DEDICATED TO THE
PEOPLE OF JOSEPHINE COUNTY
BY THE
REDWOOD LIONS CLUB
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
OUR THREE MUSKETEERS:
BILL LOWE SR., MEL ATKINS SR.
& SAM McCONNELL
2001
The fairgrounds are open to the public during the week during normal business hours.
The Redwood Lions Club has a website which reads:
REDWOOD LIONS CHARTERED JANUARY 9, 1952
We are a unique club which is comprised of the parent Grants Pass Lions Club, we help with the Hot Summer Night, Cool Merlin Music at the park from July to the end of August every Thursdays and the magical Merlin Parade. And we also support our Southern Oregon Difters Club in Medford.
The diversity within our club is seen in the high profile project such as our 4th of July Celebration at the Josephine County Fairgrounds, the decoration of Riverside Park in Grants Pass,
If you want diversity and the opportunity to serve your community with unique projects, check out the Redwood Lions Club and the projects page. We work with both Sight And Hearing Center in Medford and Sight and Hearing Association in Portland. Helping our low income families receive glasses and hearing aides at little to no cost.
