"Blåvandshuk Fyr er nok den mest iøjnefaldende bygning i Blåvand med dets 39 m høje fyrtårn, der med en egen barsk charme markerer Danmarks vestligste punkt, Blåvands Huk. Fra toppen er der en formidabel udsigt over Horns Rev og verdens største havmøllepark.
Fyrtårnet blev bygget i 1900 til afløsning for det gamle vinkelfyr fra 1888. Takket være sin beliggenhed på en høj klit, er lyskildens højde over havet 55 m. Selve lyskilden er ret beskeden, idet den udgøres af en elektrisk fyrlampe 1000 watt 220 volt. Den fantastiske skarpe lysstråle, der kan ses 50-60 km ud over havet, frembringes af et roterende linseapparat, der også ved hjælp af afskærmninger fremkalder fyrkarakteren, 3 blink hvert 20 sek.

"Blåvandshuk Fyr is probably the most eyecatching building in Blaavand with its appr. 40 mtr. tall light house, which with its own rough charm marks the most western landmark of Denmark. Around the light house you find the hardly flattering concrete bunkers from world war two. The light house was built in the year 1900 as a replacement for the old angle light from 1888. Due to its location on a high dune, the light source is placed 55 meters. above sea level. The light source it self is fairly modest and is supplied by an electrical light lamp of 1000 watts and 220 volts. The very intense light beam, which is visible from sea at a distance of about 50 to 60 kilometers is produced by a rotating lens, which by use the mean of various shields, generates the characteristics of the light, 3 blinks each 20 secs."
