Den gamle skole i Toftum blev bygget i 1784. Skolen er restaureret så den ser ud, som da den blev bygget. Bygningen ejes af Nationalmusset.
Den lille skolebygning blev bygget i 1784. Helt op til 40 elever ad gangen blev undervist her frem til 1874, hvor man flyttede til større bygninger.
Det var forældrene der selv aflønnede læreren. Desuden skulle pigerne gøre rent og eleverne havde på skifte tørv og lyng med til opvarmning. Der er fri adgang til skolen.
The old school of Toftum was built in 1784. The school is restored and looks like it did when it was new. It is owned by the National Museum of Denmark.
The little schhol was built in 1784. Up til 40 students at a time were here. The school were used until 1874 where a larger school opened.
The parents payed the teachers wages and the girls took care of cleaning the school. The students also had to bring heather and peat for heating the school room.
Today there is free acess to the school.
