History:

1455 - First historic mentioned of a church here. Builder was Friedrich v. Sparneck.

1477 - Friedrich v. Sparneck died that year and was buried in a tomb.

1562 - Decline of the monastery. First mentioned of name 'St.Veit'

1695 - Extensive church renovation

1845 - Fire destroys church and outbuildings. Then reconstruction in neo-gothic style.
