This marker is very easily missed. It is located 7 miles west of San Augustine on SH 21, on top of a tall embankment and behind a row of brushy trees. The embankment is so steep, that there is no way to get to this marker except by going up the private driveway to the house hidden behind the trees. The marker faces the highway at the north edge of the backyard of a private residence, next to the trampoline. The folks who live here will allow people to come look at the marker but be aware that they have very friendly dogs, and that they prefer that if you're going to visit, you at least say hello first.
