EN: This plaque is located on the eastern wall of the rectory next to the town church of Burgdorf. The text: "Dean Johann Rudof Gruner 1680 - 1761, Pastor of Burgdorf 1725 - 1761, Founder of the City Library, Creator of the Solennität, dedicated to the writer and friend of the youth on the occasion of the 200th Solennität, June 1930 V.V.B."
Johann Rudolf Gruner was born in 1680 in Bern. He became vicar in Trachselwald in 1707 and came to Burgdorf in 1725, where he became dean in 1744.
He founded the city library Burgdorf and the "Solennität", an annual youth festival, which is still celebrated today in Burgdorf. He was also active as a collector and writer, among other things, he created in 1732 the first description of the city of Bern by a local.
The plaque was installed in 1930 on the occasion of the 200th "Solennität".

Johann Rudolf Gruner wurde 1680 in Bern geboren. Er wurde 1707 Pfarrer in Trachselwald und kam 1725 nach Burgdorf, wo er 1744 Dekan wurde.
Er gründete die Stadtbibliothek Burgdorf und die Solennität, ein jährliches Jugendfest, das auch heute noch in Burgdorf gefeiert wird. Er war auch als Sammler und Schriftsteller tätig, unter anderem schuf er 1732 die erste Beschreibung der Stadt Bern von einem Einheimischen.
Die Tafel wurde 1930 aus Anlass der 200. Solennität angebracht.
