All across Canada in 1967, there were infrastructure building projects to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the country's confederation. The Pinecrest Recreation Complex was one of those centennial projects. The arena was named to honour Barbara Ann Scott, Canada's gold medal winner in ice skating at the 1948 Olympics.
There is public skating available nearly every day but at different times. Check the web site. The hours of operation below are for the recreation complex as a whole.
