This grave marker is located near the back of Milam Cemetery a short distance north of Milam. Two "citizen of the Republic of Texas" medallions are affixed to the marker, one for Francis Weatherred and one for his wife Nancy Dowell Weatherred.

Soldier in the Creek Indian War and the Texas War for Independence, 1836.
Died December 4, 1854.
