---
Mr. and Mrs. Hynds were area movers and shakers, and a section of US 75 through Van Alstyne is called the "Henry Hynds Expressway." The "U." in Mrs. Hynds's name is "Umphress:" Her grandfather, James C. Umphress, was himself an area mover and shaker in Van Alstyne's early days, and one of the city's streets bears his name.
