A stone monument surrounded by many other veterans memorials in a city park east of downtown. There is a plaque on the front face that shows the raising of the US flag on Iwo Jima.
The backside of the monument lists significant battles that the Marines have participated in, "In Every Clime and Place"

Description of Memorial:
The monument is in a city-owned park east of downtown. The area of the park is dedicated to many veteran memorials. Being a city with many military installations (US Air Force Academy, Army's Fort Carson, Schriever Air Force Base, Peterson Air Force Base, Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station), the veterans memorials are appropriate and often visited.
