Nowadays an almost legendary Czech TV series very successfully mixing two worlds: the world of ours and the world of fairy tales. Princess Arabela, the daughter of the Fairy King escapes before the revenge of a cunning and conceitful magician Rumburak and leaves the world of fairy tales. She meets Petr Majer in the world of ours and falls in love with him. Spells, a magic ring, the bowl of seeing, a flying suitcase and magic things play a very important role in the series.

Nekdy stací zazvonit zvoneckem a pohádky je konec. Jenže nekdy je to práve naopak... V ríši lidí se setkáváme s rodinou Majerových, kde se pan Majer živí jako vypravec pohádek na dobrou noc. Jednoho dne najde pan Majer kouzelný zvonecek, který jeho rodinu spojí s Ríší pohádek, kde vládne hodný král Hyacint se dvema dcerami - Arabelou a Xénií. Je zde i zlý kouzelník II. kategorie Rumburak, který chce celou Ríši pohádek získat jen a jen pro sebe, a hodlá pro to udelat vše. Ale nebyl by to správný pohádkový seriál, aby vše dobre nedopadlo.
