L'église a été construite entre 1860 et 1862 en style néogothique par l'architecte britannique Thomas Smith qui avait déjà construit plusieurs bâtiments à Cannes. Elle possède des vitraux réalisés par l'Atelier Lorin de Chartres.
Elle remplace un édifice antérieur, construit après 1820, année où la paroisse est placée sous la juridiction de l'évêque de Londres. Le cimetière attenant à l'église remonte à la même époque.
L'église a été restaurée en 2012 avec l'aide financière du conseil général des Alpes-Maritimes.

The church was built between 1860 and 1862 in neo-Gothic style by the British architect Thomas Smith who had already built several buildings in Cannes. It has stained glass made by Atelier Lorin de Chartres.
It replaces an earlier building, built after 1820, when the parish came under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of London. The cemetery adjoining the church dates back to the same period.
The church was restored in 2012 with the financial assistance of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes.
