Work of Toni Stadler in 1971, the Karl Amadeus Hartmann Fountain stands in the center of the Maximiliansplatz a park-like square in central Munich. (visit link)

The sculpture inside the fountain depicts two naked woman lying on their back in opposite directions.

Karl Amadeus Hartmann (München 1905 - München 1963) was a German composer. Some have lauded him as the greatest German symphonist of the 20th century, although he is now largely overlooked, particularly in English-speaking countries. (visit link)
