In front of the Woodward County Court House at 1600 Main Street, is a memorial to those who serve in law enforcement. It is located in a garden area on the front walk to the court house entrance. A concrete base with a slanted top has two bronze plaques attached.
The main plaque has the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma, and the title "Woodward County Law Enforcement Memorial". Beneath this, in raised script is the memorial which reads: "Be it known to all who pass this flag, we see the glory flying because of these peace officers who paid the price of freedom with their lives. Just as soldiers died on the battlefield, so they too died in their homeland. Let their names and lives be remembered for there is no greater love than to give one's life for his fellowman in the name of Peace. God bless America and those who serve her."
Below this on a separate plaque are plates to commemorate individual officers who died in the line of duty. Two names are on the plaque to date:
