This spring played an important role for the nearby villages, specially Corte de Ouro and Aldeia Nova.
Pé do Corço is also the name of the nearby creek. Nowadays is basically abandoned. Nobody comes anymore to collect water from this spring. But the flow is still strong and the nearby vegetable gardens are always green.
It's made of stone with a brick cupola. Outside it's still visible the tank which used to be filled with water for the animals.
