The sign says, "This little free library is a tribute to Frances Sadney who lived in this home for over fifty years. As a children's librarian for the Harford County Public Library, she impacted the community by developing programs such as "Sharing the Gifts", which encourages children to read through story-telling. Mrs. Sadney served on a committee that selects children's books to revise the Newberry-Caldecct Medal Award. She was a firm believer that a child who reads becomes an adult who thinks".
