The weathervane is constructed of silver metal with a Rolls Royce car finial. It is mounted on a small hexagonal tower on the modern municipal offices and can be seen from Vernon Way to the side and Heath Street to the rear of the offices. (visit link)

Rolls Royce and Bentley cars were built at Crewe between 1946 and 2002, until the licence for the brand transferred from Bentley's owners Volkswagen to rival BMW in 2003. With the end of production of Rolls-Royce badged cars in 2002, the factory on Pyms Lane was re-developed to allow an expansion of the Bentley brand through a series of new models. (visit link)
