The girl in a blue top and shorts is resting aginst a small blue house with a yellow front door. The girl is lying on a patch of grass which could be an island in a lake or the sea. On top of the small house is a coal-tit which is much larger than the house. At the girls bare feet is another small bird this time a robin which appears to the observer to be perched on top of the street-furniture blue box. Behind the house and the girl the night sky with a full moon and the star constellation 'The Plough' or 'Big Dipper'.
