EN: This stone cross is located just south of Wittnau on the road to Rothenfluh in a bend.
The simple cross stands on a large pedestal slightly raised on the slope. It has a metal figure and is fairly overgrown with moss and lichens. The cross is neither dated nor has it any other inscriptions. But there is a hole below the Jesus figure, where once a plaque could have been attached.
DE: Dieses Steinkreuz steht etwas südlich von Wittnau in einer Kurve an der Strasse nach Rothenfluh.
Das einfache Kreuz steht auf einem grossen Sockel etwas erhöht am Abhang. Es hat eine Metallfigur und ist ziemlich mit Moos und Flechten überwachsen. Das Kreuz ist weder datiert noch beschriftet. Bei einem Loch unterhalb der Jesusfigur könnte aber früher einmal ein Schild befestigt gewesen sein.
