"The church was built between 1857 and 1860 by the abbot Leuilleux, vicar of Saint-Nicolas and future bishop of Chambéry.

The British architect Charles Hansom, brother of Joseph Hansom, deals with plans, sculpture and interior decoration.

Generally neo-Romanesque, it consists of a nave with aisles extending directly to the sanctuary surrounded by a walkway with radiant chapels.

Its confessionals are integrated in the thickness of the walls and present a series of intersecting arches. Above them, a forum previously communicated with the nearby establishment of the Augustinian sisters.

Originally, paintings illustrating the revival of polychrome in religious architecture in the nineteenth century, decorated the interior. School is provided by the Brothers of the Christian Schools. The rose window was restored in 2015. "
