This is very much an 'Unimproved' camping area, as you have to bring everything you want with you - including WATER; and take out everything - including RUBBISH. But, it is FREE.
Some of the instructions for the Camping Area are:
- Bring your own water. Don't drink from watercourses - boil for 3 minutes
- Don't wash clothes in watercourses
- Bring a gas or liquid fuel cooker - While fireplaces are available, wood is not supplied, and fire bans may exist.
- Bring your own firewood - purchase from service stations prior to arrival.
- Extinguish fires completely
- Pets must be on a leash.
- Quiet Times in Reserve: 10pm to 7am
- Maximum length of Stay: 10 days
- Don't feed native animals
- Keep your food secure in containers animals can't get into.
- Look for overhanging tree limbs when setting up. Avoid dead limbs.
