Im Jahr 1866 ließ Theodor Eilers diese Wallholländerwindmühle errichten. Eine Besonderheit ist der Rollwagen, auf denen die Kappe läuft, und der gusseiserne Achskopf, in dem die Flügelruten einzeln befestigt sind.
Die Mühle diente zur Herstellung von Back- und Futtermitteln. Wohl schon vor 1900 wurde zusätzlich ein Verbrenungsmotor zum Antrieb der Mahlwerke eingesetzt. 1929 stellte Eilers den Mahlbetrieb per Windkraft ganz ein, die Futtermittelproduktion erfolgte nun ausschließlich durch Motorantrieb. Im Jahr 1941 wurde ein elektrischer Antrieb eingebaut. Bis 1983 war die Mühle in Betrieb.
Nach Nutzungsaufgabe und Jahrelangem Leerstand konnte der Mühlenstumpf im Jahr 2000 an auf ein neues Sockelgeschoss umgesetzt werden. Die Mühle dient heute als mordernes Feuerwehrgerätehaus. Im Obergeschoss informiert eine Dokumentation über die Geschichte der damals vier Saerbecker Wind- und Wassermühlen.

In 1866 Theodor Eilers had this windmill built. A special feature is the trolley, on which the cap runs, and the cast-iron axle head, in which the wing rods are attached individually.
The mill was used to make bakery goods and animal feeding. Probably before 1900, a combustion engine was additionally used to drive the grinders. In 1929, Eilers completely stopped the grinding operation by wind power, the feed production was now exclusively by motor drive. In 1941, an electric drive was installed. Until 1983, the mill was in operation.
After use and years of vacancy, the mill stump was converted to a new basement floor in 2000. The mill now serves as a modern fire station. Upstairs, a documentary informs about the history of the then four Saerbeck wind and water mills.
