This arena is one of thirty-four indoor venues in the city of Ottawa which offer public skating. According to the web site, in the winter of 2017-2018 public skating is available every Saturday evening from 19h00 to 19h50. The adult fee is $2.75.

For the rest of the week, the arena is home to the March-Kanata Skating Club and hosts many hockey games such as the high school girls hockey game captured in the waymark photographs.

This arena dates back to the early 1970s and predates the incorporation of the city of Kanata which itself became a part of the city of Ottawa in 2001. The hours of operation listed below refer to the community centre on weekdays, not public skating times. Check the web site.
