On August 26, 2010 Saint-Omer welcomed fifty-two representatives from Detmold, the German city of North Rhine-Westphalia, to celebrate their fortieth year of twinning.

Before, we offered beautiful paintings that nobody saw. Now these are objects that can serve the population as the bench that Detmold offered to Saint-Omer. Twinning is a dream for everyone.

Le 26 août 2010 Saint-Omer a accueilli sur son sol cinquante-deux représentants de Detmold, la ville allemande de Rhénanie du Nord-Westphalie, pour fêter leur quarantième année de jumelage.

Avant, on offrait des beaux tableaux que personne ne voyait. Maintenant ce sont des objets qui peuvent servir à la population comme le banc que Detmold a offert à Saint-Omer. Le jumelage est un rêve qui concerne tout le monde.
