A pair of squatting lions protect the wrought iron gates on Magpie Hollow Road, just out of Lithgow.

Just a little south of Lithgow, on the way to Lake Lyell, on Magpie Hollow Road, are a pair of white sculpted squatting lions, each is on top of a 1.8 metre high bricked pier. Between the piers are white, wrought iron gates with floreated spikes, and dark brown ornate wrought iron inserts.
The lions could do with another coat of paint, when I visited them.
