This Bend Parks & Recreation trailhead is located at the north end of Riley Ranch Nature Reserve in northwest Bend along the Deschutes River Trail coming south from Tumalo State Park. The trailhead provides access to the trail system in the Nature Reserve: Juniper Loop, (0.7 miles, compacted gravel), Sage Flat Loop (0.9 miles, compacted gravel), Robin’s Run (0.15 miles, dirt) and Canyon Loop (1.25 miles, dirt). The trails provide access to interpretive signs and four view points.
In the future the Deschutes River Trail will cross the river here and continue south to join the Deschutes River Trail coming north from Bend. Parking available at Tumalo State Park day use area about 1.75 miles to the north.
