Mrs Jiggs also is an avid WFTDA (World Flat-Track Derby Association)player who plays for the Ganaraska Gravediggers out of Port Hope, ON. She goes by the moniker "Bubbles The Brave" and wears #4.
The name is a hybrid of two of her passions: Flat Track Roller Derby and Bagpipe Band Snare Drumming. The name "Bubbles" is a testament to her mother-in-law, who has had that name for over 65 years, from her days as a professional basketball player with the Texas Cowgirls barnstorming team.
"The Brave" is a reduced form of 'Scotland the Brave', a very well-known bagpipe tune.
When we saw "Bubbles" we knew what had to be done!
