Il ponte-passerella ciclo-pedonale che scavalca, a 6 metri di altezza, con una lunghezza di 130 metri,il viale Serra, ricongiunge l'area del Parco Portello (ex Alfa-Romeo) con l'area delle zone commerciali e abitative. Un'opera di interesse non solo ingegneristico progettuale ma anche che arricchisce la vivibilità del nuovo quartiere.


La struttura della passerella Serra era stata posata ad agosto 2012, dove in seguito sono stati eseguiti i lavori di allestimento e completamento dell’insieme, la passerella è lunga circa 90 metri, larga circa 4 metri, al lato della passerella c’è l’ascensore e una comoda scala a chiocciola in cemento armato per consentire l’accesso dal viale Renato Serra.
Entrambi i due Centri, adesso congiunti dalla passerella ciclopedonale Serra, sono sorti sull’ex area industriale dell’ex stabilimento Alfa Romeo ovvero sul Portello Sud e sul Portello Nord; lo stabilimento e l’area commerciale dell’Alfa Romeo sono rimasti in attività lì fino agli inizi degli anni ’80.
La progettazione dell’intera area ha avuto nel corso degli anni una serie di variazioni e sono state apportate delle migliorie progettuali come il nuovo Parco Portello che con la sua collinetta a spirale, richiama un poco il Monte Stella più conosciuto come “la montagnetta”, oggi il parco è un luogo molto bello, ben armonizzato e molto frequentato dai cittadini.
Le prime realizzazioni del progetto sono state quelle realizzate sull’area del Portello Nord, con il Centro Residenziale e Terziario Portello e il Centro Commerciale IPER mentre recentemente sono stati completati i lavori sull’area del Portello Sud con le Residenze Parco Vittoria, il Centro Terziario Vittoria, oggi i due Centri sono fisicamente uniti dalla passerella.
Nel Centro Terziario Vittoria, al lato della nuova piazza Gino Valle ci sono la nuova sede Vittoria Assicurazioni, il palazzo LG, la Casa Milan, con la sua nuova sede del Museo dell’A.C. Milan. Inoltre nella piazza Gino Valle, c’è l’opera dell’artista Emilio Isgrò la “Grande cancellatura per Giovanni Testori” che riporta una frase tratta da “Il ponte della Ghisolfa”.

The structure of the Serra bridge had been laid in August 2012, where the set-up and completion works were carried out, the walkway is about 130 meters long, about 4 meters wide, on the side of the walkway there is the elevator and a convenient spiral staircase in reinforced concrete to allow access from the Viale Renato Serra.
Both the two centers, now joined by the Serra cycle-pedestrian walkway, have risen on the former industrial area of ??the former Alfa Romeo factory, on the South Portello and on the North Portello; the Alfa Romeo factory and commercial area remained in business until the early 1980s.
Over the years, the design of the entire area has had a series of variations and design improvements have been made, such as the new Parco Portello which, with its spiral hill, slightly reminds Monte Stella better known as "la montagnetta", today the park is a very beautiful place, well harmonized and very popular with the citizens.
The first realizations of the project were those carried out on the Portello Nord area, with the Residential and Tertiary Portello Center and the IPER Commercial Center, while the work on the South Portello area was recently completed with the Parco Vittoria Residences, the Tertiary Center Vittoria, today the two Centers are physically united by the catwalk.
In the Vittoria Tertiary Center, next to the new Piazza Gino Valle there are the new Vittoria Assicurazioni headquarters, the LG building, the Casa Milan, with its new headquarters of the Museo dell'A.C. Milan. Also in Piazza Gino Valle, there is the work of the artist Emilio Isgrò the "Great erasure for Giovanni Testori" which shows a phrase taken from "The Bridge of Ghisolfa".
