"Paul Dombey Johnston (1889 - 1991) moved to Capitola in 1899. Paul worked as a apple dryer, sold popcorn at Capitola Beach, and picked cherries and apples. He later owned businesses in Aptos. Throughout his life he took photos of Santa Cruz County, and his collection of photos is now in the MAH archives. He also liked to play the violin."
