W. L. Hawks' WOW marker has a marble base, on which stands a curved marble slab and atop that, a large horizontal log. Both the Woodmen of the World, and the Masonic seals are engraved on the log.
At the top of the slab are crossed implements and beneath that, the inscription which reads:
W. L. Hawks
Dec. 5, 1874
Oct.25, 1918He died as he lived
a Christian
The surname HAWKS is engraved at the bottom, in large raised letters.
