Twins Winfield Schley Conrad & George Dewey Conrad both had tragic deaths. Winfield Schley died in an accident and George Dewey was killed in action during World War I. Winfield Schley is buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield, MA.

Winfield Schley Conrad is interred in a family plot marked by a large granite headstone and an individual ground level granite plaque inscribed SCHLEY. The front of the headstone is inscribed CONRAD along with the names of his parents John W. and Mary Lynch. The reverse side is inscribed:
