While the Boat Ramp itself is in good condition, the tidal Killick Creek leaves a LOT to be desired. On asking a local, I was assured that it does get used, but obviously not at the depth of the creek when I was there. there has been several recent strandings on the sand bar.

And, at times that Killick Creek is "not open to the sea the water quality in the creek may be unsuitable for bathing." [Kempsey Shire Council sign at the Boat Ramp.]
