Mountain Meadows Massacre took place between Sept. 7 - 11, 1857. Utah Territorial Militia made a series of attacks on the Baker–Fancher wagon train, at Mountain Meadows, Utah. The result was a mass slaughter of from 120 to 140 members of the westward bound party if emigrants.
