On the coastal walkway there are many places to stop and rest, and this multi-slat wooden bench has an brown anodised aluminium plaque that has been screwed with 'security screws, to the second top wooden slat. There are four more holes that had been drilled on the plaque, more distal than the position of the current screws; but those positions would have been too close to the edge of wooden slat.

The engraved plaque reads:

"GREGORY & MARIE BROWN
PORT HAS IT ALL, WONDERFUL
LIFE, MAGNIFICENT VIEWS"

Of the ten slats, four are for the 'seat base', five are for seat's backrest, and one is fitted between them at 40°, to make it quite a comfortable bench to rest on. The slats are fixed to broad curved metal bars, that appear to be bolted to clay pavers; but surely there is a concrete pad beneath it.

This part of the Coastal Walk is right beside Pacific Drive, and the intersection of Arncliffe Avenue.
