Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present quarter corner bears N0.9°W from T15S R10E S22 23 26 27 COR, 2651' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 7" in a mound of stones

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There are two U-posts with LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs. One bears N, 34" distant, the other S, 37" from the quarter corner. There is a boulder with a chiseled "X" which bears SSE, 49'1" distant. Found two ponderosa pines and a western juniper with partly healed blazes and the usual complement of metal signs.

Deschutes National Forest all around; see also Oregon Corner Restoration Record #1230, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office
