La production électrique est la principale activité industrielle de la commune de Sainte-Tulle. Deux centrales hydroélectrique utilisant les eaux de la Durance sont implantées à Sainte-Tulle.
La première, "Sainte-Tulle I", est construite dans le voisinage immédiat de la commune.
Construite en 1922, elle possède une productibilité de 160 GWh. La surélévation de la chambre d’eau en 1979 a porté la hauteur de chute exploitée à 34 m.
L'usine utilise
* 5 turbines 10 000 CV Francis double
* 4 turbines 10,5 MVA Kaplan

En 1969, l’usine de "Sainte-Tulle II" est mise en service, avec une productibilité de 190 GWh et une hauteur de chute de 37 m.
Pour les deux usines, l'eau est pompée dans la Durance à Villeneuve puis acheminée par un canal.En amont des deux usines, l'eau est séparée pour leurs alimentations

Electricity generation is the main industrial activity of the municipality of Sainte-Tulle. Two hydroelectric plants using the waters of the Durance are located in Sainte-Tulle.
