With sand, instead of 'soft-fall' bark chips, this Playground has a 'Beach Theme' that resembles some of the Wallis Lake beaches.

There is a surf mural behind some of the climbing apparatus, and a tonne of sand for the creativeness of the children. There are multiple swings, and climbing nets, with a flying fox and 'monkey rings' above the sand surface to give the kids some fun activities.
There is parallel parking on the streets, with 'nose-in' parking facing Wallis Lake south of the park. Toilets are the other side of the Forster-Tuncurry bridge, at John Wright Park.
