The National Register's Registration Form provides an excellent overview (slight edits):
The Wichita Drug House building (1889) is a single-story brick structure in the same alignment with the Main Street (7th Street) retail buildings. The original rosettes and tie bar stabilize the rigid awning which represents the original location. The transom windows above the awning have been altered. A brick veneer storefront covers the display window area of the façade. The ornamental pilaster on the east side matches the pilasters on the Falls City Hotel building. Matching arch windows and doors at the rear of the buildings duplicate the openings of the adjacent building. Dr. J.F. Reed and his partner Dr. Abram A. Jones built and operated Wichita Drug House for twenty years. Dr. Reed served on the city council for sixteen years and was one of the founders of First Christian Church.
