OC Transpo (the municipal transit authority in Ottawa) and Safer Roads Ottawa selected the site for this bike repair station. The bike repair station is near the sidewalk on the east side (northbound direction) of Eagleson Road. Many transit riders use the Eagleson Park & Ride to transfer from car to bus. The same could be done by bike commuters. There is limited, sheltered bicycle parking north of the parking lot on the other side of Eagleson. The bicycle parking is used little. A bike commuter can take a bicycle downtown on a bus equipped with a bike rack.
The site is located about a kilometre south of the Watts Creek bike path and about a kilometre north of another trail system in the greenbelt (NCC trails #21 and #20, off Timm Drive).
The bike repair station includes a work stand, an air pump and an assortment of wrenches and drivers. There is signage posting a web site for instructions and information concerning the bike repair station.
