In New Shoreham, at the ferry landing in Old Harbor, is this nautical style flagpole.
The flagpole is situated east of Water Street, and by a building that is part of the ferry port, and about 100 ft west of the ferry landing.
The pole is white and has a cross bar with lines for up to three flags. At the time, only the American flag was flying.
