The Seminole County Courthouse is a two-story red brick building constructed in 1927 and designed by the firm of Baldwin, Maurice, Mannot and Reid. Additions have been added to the south in 1939 and to the north in 1975.

The main entrance facing S. Wewoka Avenue has six Ionic columns with double window units on both floors. The double-door entrance is recessed with a stone surround, and sidelights and transom. Flanking this entrance bay are narrow windows framed with crosshatched stonework. The entrance has a large stone entablature and on the stone frieze above is engraved SEMINOLE COUNTY COURT HOUSE. At the roof line is a stone cornice with engraved embellishments. The courthouse has a partial attic which is used as a jail. The courthouse was placed on the National Register in 1984.

The courthouse houses the county offices, as well as the county jail and courts.
