A playground shelter erected to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the village of Bride.

There is a silver-coloured plaque inside the shelter which has the following text:
'The People of Bride
Erected This Shelter
In 2012 To Commemorate
The Diamond Jubilee Of
Elizabeth II
1952 - 2012'

The installation commemorates the Diamond Jubilee (60 year reign) of Queen Elizabeth.

Her Majesty amongst other titles is known as Lord of Mann. This title dates to 1405 when the English King Henry IV gave the Isle of Man with all its rights to Sir John Stanley. The Stanley family ruled the Island for 360 years until George III assumed the Lordship which has passed down the Royal line to Queen Elizabeth.
