Located in the south-central part of Etna Cemetery is a cobblestone grave for the Furber family. The cobblestone grave stands out among the other internments. The headstone reads:

In memory of

SARAH H. FURBER
1832-1918
---
HENRY.
FLORENCE M.
SADIE.
AND
CHARLES A. FURBER
The first white Boy born
in Siskiyou.

This headstone is somewhat confusing as to what relationship these individuals listed have to one another. My assumption here is that Sarah Furber was the mother to Henry, Florence, Sadie and Charles.

The inscription is very difficult to read on the headstone but the website below lists the 'first' on its webpage (scroll down to Furber).
