While the ANZAC Park Memorial Gates were unveiled by the Governor-General Lord Foster in 1922, with "the redevelopment of the Southport Broadwater Parklands in 2010 necessitated the removal and relocation of the existing ANZAC Park Gates within the upgraded park." [Monument Australia: ANZAC Park Memorial Gates - (visit link) ]

"Located on the Broadwater side of Marine Parade, Southport (opposite Australia Fair), the Gold Coast's world class Broadwater Parklands offers a range of diverse locations and facilities for hire, designed for everything from large scale events to small family gatherings. There are plenty of shady spots for a picnic. You can also make use of the free barbecue facilities." Park website: (visit link)
