Princess Patricia presents her hand-made camp colours to Her Regiment. Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 23 August 1914.
Princess Patricia passes the camp colour to Lt Col Francis Farquhar, Duke of Connaught, Prince Arthur, the Governor General, and her mother, the Duchess of Connaught. The Princess Pats had more than 1000 soldiers on Parade and there were over 12,000 citizens of Ottawa in attendance."
This memorial was unveiled on 9 September 2014 on the 100th anniversary of the regiment's formation in 1914. It is located in front of the Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park, in Ottawa, Ontario,
"La Princesse Patricia présente le drapeau de camp qu’elle a cousu à la main à son régiment, le Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry au Parc Lansdowne le 23 août 1914.
La Princesse Patricia remet le drapeau de camp au Lt Col Francis Farquhar, le premier commandant du régiment, en présence de son père, le Prince Arthur, Duc de Connaught, le Gouverneur Général, et de sa mère, la duchesse de Connaught. La parade comprenait plus de 1000 soldats du Princess Patricia’s tandis que plus de 12000 citoyens d’Ottawa étaient présents."
Ce monument commémoratif a été dévoilé le 9 septembre 2014 à l'occasion du 100e anniversaire de la formation du régiment en 1914. Il est situé devant le Pavillon Aberdeen, parc Lansdowne, à Ottawa, en Ontario.
