This clock tower with its ornate face was built by the Lochridge family in 1920 as a tribute to their patriarch, George Lochridge and a gift to the people of Mena.
The tower anchors the center of Janssen park, a lovely greenspace with many interesting features in downtown Mena
The tower is about 45 feet tall, is sturdy and built of carved stone. A round clock face with roman numerals is inset in the top of the square tower. Classic decorative hands point to the hours. The mMinutes are designated by tick marks.
