A painted utility box, locally known as a switchbox, is locate on the northbound side of SR 28, Main Street, just south of the exit 38 on I-95, opposite the entrance to the Redstone Shopping Center.

This is the northern most painted switchbox on Main Street in Stoneham, MA. It is part of the Stoneham Switchbox Art Project that began in 2013 with a call for volunteers to paint switchboxes in Stoneham.

The street side has a barrel planted with geraniums. The sidewalk side features a painting of the gazebo on the town common. The south, meter side, has a Welcome to Stoneham sign with the town seal displayed in a third story window of a small house. The north side has a town lamppost decorated with two American Flags.
