In New Shoreham, along Spring Street, is a flat sculpture of a whale and the words, "Whale's Tale."
The sculpture is located on the east side of the road and is north of the Southeast Light.
The sculpture is a profile of a whale made of iron and having a rusty surface. The whale body is at the bottom, while the oversized tail is vertical with its flukes spread. The words, "Whales Tale" is carved out of the tail. At the head, there is an eye punched out and an indent for the mouth.
I don't know anything else about the sculpture.
