Claude is the work of Kim Ward, sponsored by Senator Craig Estes. Claude is primarily black in color, with silver hooves, but both of his flanks form a scene of a quiet pond, with blue-green water and green trees and foliage in the background. Most of the colors are at the cooler end of the spectrum -- there is some brown and orange near the tops of his legs -- with lily pads and water lilies throughout.
