"No Jardim de São Francisco, em frente ao adro da Igreja do convento da mesma invocação, levanta-se um singelo cruzeiro de granito com crucifixo gótico. Sobre um soco quadrangular, muito desgastado, assenta uma esguia coluna estriada, de factura mais recente, sustentando um capitel moderno, decorado com enrolamentos de volutas nos cantos e um florão no centro do ábaco. A cruz parece ser obra quatrocentista, de acordo com a cruz de hastes rematadas em flor-de-lis, e a figura de Cristo, de factura ingénua e esquemática. No corpo da base destaca-se uma inscrição pouco legível, onde parece figurar a data de 1593, em referência a nova sagração do monumento, indicando possivelmente a mudança de localização do cruzeiro e a altura em que terá sido refeito todo o pedestal da cruz, incluindo a base, o fuste e o capitel."

"In the Garden of San Francisco, in front of the churchyard of the Church of the convent of the same invocation, rises a simple granite cross with crucifix gothic. About a square punch, much worn, rests a slender fluted column, the latest bill, claiming a capital decorated modern windings volutes at the corners and a medallion in the center of the abacus. The cross seems to be the work fifteenth, according to the cross of stems topped in fleur-de-lis, and the figure of Christ, Invoice naive and schematic. In the base body stands out a legible inscription bit, where the figure appears to date 1593 in the new reference ordination of the monument, possibly indicating a change of location of the route and time that will have been rewritten entire cross pedestal including base, shaft and capital."
